What we pay for a certain mushroom or berry varies over the season but is also dependent on its quality and how it has been handled. We manage this through our bonus system. In the current price list, a base price is presented.
Supply and Demand
Purchase prices are determined by supply and demand. Low supply in the forest and high demand from customers increase base prices, and the opposite lowers base prices. We always strive to maintain a balance where we can sell the products we buy as quickly as possible.

Mushroom Bonus System
The bonus system gives us the ability to raise or lower the base price depending on quality. We assess your mushrooms based on the following criteria:
Freshness
The mushroom should give a fresh impression and not have visible signs of long-term or improper storage.
Handling
The mushroom should be gently handled. Not broken or bruised.
Dirt
The mushroom should be properly root-cut with a sharp knife and the basket protected from falling forest debris.
Selection
The mushroom is young and healthy, without visible damage. A young mushroom is firm, worm-free, and the edges of the cap are slightly rolled.
Temperature
The mushroom should be cool. We check the temperature of the mushrooms upon arrival. We mark down if the mushroom is unnecessarily warm.
Size
The size of the mushroom is only assessed for those types where the base price is based on size.
See which types are available in different sizes on the Prices page.
Water Deduction Compensates for Evaporating Water
Water deduction is not a penalty. Water deduction is made to compensate for the excess water weight in mushrooms. This can be due to rain or humid growing locations. The water deduction is necessary because excess water quickly evaporates in our coolers, leading to less actual mushroom weight than purchased. Common deductions are 5-10% and do not affect the bonus or quality.
No thanks
We always have the right to refuse the mushrooms if we determine that the quality is not high enough for further sale. Likewise, you always have the right to take back the mushrooms after assessment if you are not satisfied with the price. This is done before you have sold them and signed the receipt. Always check the weights and prices before signing to ensure that you are satisfied.
